Toshiba Excite 10 LE Tablet with Quad-Core Processor

Toshiba’s Excite 10 LE, the thinnest 10″ Android tablet on the market. Well it turns out, Toshiba met enough success from the Excite LE tablet to also decide to release three new tablets branded with the ‘Excite’ name.

The Toshiba Excite tablets brand name will now be significantly larger thanks to the upcoming release of three new tablets. Keep in mind that all three of the tablets (mentioned below) should not be confused with the Toshiba Excite 10 LE, which is in fact a completely different tablet.

The three new Toshiba tablets are of varying sizes and include the Toshiba Excite 10, Toshiba Excite 7.7 and the much larger sized Toshiba Excite 13. All three tablets are basically the size of their respective model numbers, and will all include the same basic specs and features.

The Toshiba Excite tablets will be running the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). All three tablets will also include Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB of installed RAM, Corning Gorilla Glass screen protectors, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios, and a 5MP rear facing camera combined with a 2MP front facing camera.

Toshiba Excite Tablets Features

Toshiba Excite 7.7- The Toshiba Excite 7.7 sports a 7″ AMOLED touchscreen display and is easily the thinnest of all the new Excite tablets weighing in at 0.3 inches in depth. In addition the Excite 7.7 has a microSD card expansion slot for increased user storage options. The Excite 7.7 will be available in two separate models, a 16GB model ($499) and a 32GB ($579) model.

Toshiba Excite 10- The Toshiba Excite 10 includes a 10″ AMOLED touchscreen, and is slightly bulkier at 0.35 inches in depth. The Excite 10 also includes a mini HDMI output, and a full size SD card expansion slot for increased storage capacity. The Toshiba Excite 10 will be available in three separate models; the 16GB model ($449), the 32GB model ($549) and the 64GB model ($649).

Toshiba Excite 13- The Toshiba Excite 13 is obviously one of the largest tablets available with a large size 13.3″ AMOLED touchscreen display the supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 900. The Toshiba Excite 13 also includes four integrated speakers, a full size SD card expansion slot and a micro HDMI output. The Excite 13 will be available in two separate models, the 32GB model ($649) and the 64GB model ($749.99).


Toshiba Excite Tablets Release Date
The Toshiba Excite 10 will be the first to hit the market on May 6, and as mentioned above will be available in three separate models upon release. The other two Excite tablets have no confirmed release date yet, but they will certainly be hitting the market soon after the Excite 10.
